New team member

Velux Stiftung is happy to welcome Stephanie Remke in the team. We are pleased to get support to launch the new funding program in forestry as well as to further develop our foundation work.

Stephanie holds a PhD in Environmental Chemistry and has done interdisciplinary research herself. With a big passion for science, she studied Chemistry and Environmental Sciences. Before starting at the foundation, she combined the two fields and studied the light induced transformations of pollutants in surface waters. Now she is excited to learn more about the effects of daylight as well as to get an insight into other interdisciplinary projects in the funding areas of healthy ageing, forestry and ophthalmology. With work and study experiences in France, Germany, Switzerland, Thailand and Nepal she is looking forward to getting in touch with the foundations big international network. Stephanie is interested in current IT developments and how to use them in a beneficial and sustainable way.

As a scientific officer she will handle incoming applications, support grantees and reviewers during the life cycle of the project. Additionally, she will handle the foundation’s IT developments.

We look forward to getting to know Stephanie and the new skills she brings to the foundation!
