Every year, one call for proposals will open in the these funding areas. The final decision of the board is expected about 6 months later.

Next deadlines for applications:

  • Forestry – 21 September 2026, 23:59 CEST
  • Ophthalmology – 01 October 2026, 23:59 CEST
  • Healthy Ageing – 24 November 2026, 23:59 CET / new funding focus
  • Daylight research – Spring 2027

Scientific committee discusses all reviewed applications
If necessary, a clarification is requested from the applicant
Scientific committee recommends a shortlist of applications for funding
Documentation for the board decision is prepared

Approval of funding for peer-reviewed applications is decided by the board
Management informs the applicants about the final decision
Funding contract needs to be signed before funding starts
