The foundation will revisit and refine its funding strategy in 2025. Therefore, we are pausing funding activities in Healthy Ageing and Daylight Research. Calls for proposals in Ophthalmology and Forestry will proceed with a September 2025 deadline.
We are announcing a temporary break in our funding activities for Healthy Ageing and Daylight Research for the year 2025. During this period, we will not accept any new applications for these funding areas. Funding activities will resume in 2026. This pause allows us to conduct a thorough analysis and revisit our overall funding strategy to ensure it aligns with the current needs and priorities of the research community.
Despite this pause, we are excited to continue our funding programs in Ophthalmology and Forestry. We invite researchers and institutions to prepare their proposals for these areas, with a submission deadline set for September 2025. The respective call for proposal will be published in spring 2025.
The strategic alignment comes more than a decade after our last major overhaul. In 2025, our foundation board will revisit and potentially revise our funding strategy. Our goal is to adapt to the evolving context and refine our processes to better serve the research community and societal needs.
We are committed to transparent communication throughout this process. We will share updates and developments openly to keep stakeholders informed. Thank you for your understanding as we work towards enhancing our impact.
