Today we can proudly present the new jury for The Daylight Award 2022 who will select next year's laureates. With this bi-annual award the three founding foundations strive to raise a holistic understanding of daylight, and increase its positive impact on life.
The jury shall represent the highest possible level of expertise in the field of daylight research and daylight architecture, including relevant and comprehensive knowledge of the international scientific and architectural world. The jury comprises at least six and no more than nine members. The jury should have members from at least three different countries and should not have more than two members from the same country.
The jury 2022 consists of:
Anne Lacaton, Marilyne Andersen, Juhani Pallasmaa, Koen Steemers together with three new members: Dorte Mandrup, Gerd Folkers and Russell Foster.

The Daylight Award acknowledges and encourages scientific knowledge and practical application of daylight, which interlink disciplines that are usually addressed in separated, monocultural spheres, professional circles or practices.

… is presented every two years by the non-profit, private charitable foundations, VILLUM FONDEN, VELUX FONDEN and VELUX STIFTUNG, established by Villum Kann Rasmussen. The award is given as two personal prizes, and each to the sum of €100,000.
